About Sweeney Bros.
We have a deep-rooted history in Bloomington-Normal. Our founder and father, Maurice Sr. began as a carpet installer in the early fifties. The trade became a supplement to his income as a police officer. He worked nights, days and weekends - whenever he was off-shift. Eventually his reputation grew into an opportunity to retail carpeting - out of his garage at home. His sons learned the craft as he had. They learned about business like no school could teach. And they learned about honesty, integrity and ethics with his customers - many of whom were friends and co-workers. When he said, "Treat Mrs. Jones like you would treat your mother ", he meant it. That has been Sweeney Bros. "unofficial" motto ever since.
As a second-generation family-owned Bloomington-Normal business, we continue to strive to meet our Founder's expectations and continue to protect his reputation as a champion for uncompromising quality and service. Your total satisfaction is our goal, from the largest carpet installation to a simple purchase of our Spot-Out stain remover. You, our customers and friends, judge our success of these goals. We always welcome comments and criticism, because that is how we can improve the customer experience for everyone.
As the third-generation joins our ranks in pursuit of this accomplishment, you can be assured we will seek to make your purchase an opportunity for you to experience the Sweeney Bros. difference. Whether it is carpet, a new area rug, or restorative cleaning that brings you to our door - Sweeney Bros. will endeavor to make it your best experience in Bloomington-Normal or anywhere in McLean County. Thank you for joining us in our continuing journey for excellence and we look forward to serving your flooring needs.
"The beauty of a room starts with the floor."
It's more than just our slogan for the last fifty years, it's our vision of what you can enjoy in your home...today.
